Hello!
I'm Jonatan Pozo-Palacios, a Postdoctoral Associate and Mechanical Engineer specializing in fluid power systems, mechanism design, and advanced simulation techniques to create efficient and innovative engineering solutions.

Originally from Mexico City and having lived much of my life in Ecuador, I moved to the U.S. to pursue a PhD in Mechanical Engineering. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher under the guidance of Professor James Van de Ven at the University of Minnesota’s Center for Compact and Efficient Fluid Power. The center is known for its innovative research in fluid power systems and energy technologies, where I work on developing solutions that integrate hydrogen fuel cells, hybrid powertrains, and energy-efficient systems.

I enjoy biking around the lakes and exploring new restaurants offering diverse international cuisines. I’m also passionate about learning about new technologies and cultures.
